I know that this is old news but it's still an issue and I think it would be an issue until it's too late. Aerial Hunting of Alaskan Wolves written by ~riyachan.

I was asked by ~BubbleBlossoms if I could write an article about the wolves and I said I will try to but I don't really have that much time online since my last campaign. Then I remembered riyachan's article so please read and spread it around.

Why did I say that the hunting of the wolves might only stop when "it's too late"? I for one haven't seen a real live wolf and I don't really know how to live with them in the area...but as I've been saying before, I've been watching documentaries and reading studies about overkilling certain predatory animals.

Areas that kill too much of their predatory animals, let's say, the wolves, tend to suffer in the long run. Why? The humans who thought that they are killing these animals to protect humanity are actually paving the way to humanity's destruction.

In grade school, we learned a simple lesson about the Food Chain in the Animal Kingdom. We also learned about the Ecosystems and the relationships between all the living and non-living things on this planet.

But what we didn't learn then were the real adverse effects of species that become extinct...since there really wasn't much information before about these things. Also, we weren't feeling then these weird changes in our planet.

Bottomline is, when the wolves become extinct, the Ecosystem of that area will be affected for sure. Something will change in their area which will make the lives of humans living there difficult.

I will try to find out if those documentaries are available in the internet maybe it would help people understand more.

Think about this...even if you're not an animal lover or an environmentalist, you are human, and everything in this planet is here to help us live our lives. We've already disturbed the balance by our inability to return to the planet what we have used. Instead we produce garbage and waste and use more than what we really need. So if you're going to hunt down more species to extinction...you yourself are to blame for dooming this planet. You are already one of the causes why our planet is dying from the inside. Why don't you do something about it? You don't have to be an activist for the planet or something...you just have to do your part. Do what you can in your own way...as long as you know it is good and will help. No matter how small your acts are, you are contributing to the larger picture.

JOURNAL

This is a past post from my LJ: [link]

*sigh*
Someone threw a lighter at my dogs. I found it already half-eaten by one of my dogs..and I saw the plastic of the lighter mixed in the poop later.

I guess...when I post an entry I really should keep it private or something. Someone from around here who hates my dogs might really do something really bad to them if they find out that I've been writing about the random things they throw to my dogs and how much they hate them(well someone already declared that they will poison my dogs).

I now found a new doctor for my grandmother though...his consultation fee is...expensive. Twice the price of my grandma's original doctor. But I feel that he would really be good to my grandmother, plus my grandma really warmed up to him.

Last week, my grandma had jaundice (turned yellow) because she couldn't handle the medication the last sub-doctor gave her. It was so hard for me because I have to monitor her everyday...and she only seems to get better when she stops her medication. Turns out I'm right and they are right, the former sub doctor doesn't know how to handle elderly patients. She gave my grandmother medicines that are too strong for her. She made my grandma drink 7 tablets 30 minutes before breakfast everyday. It was only when I keep on coming back to that sub doctor and bringing my grandma to her that I finally researched the medicines and made a different schedule for my grandma. I made the medicines to be taken 30 minutes after each meal and distributed throughout the day.

That doctor's such an...____. When we went to her, she prescribed more medicines for my grandmother because my grandma was complaining about her stomach. My grandma became weaker the next day.

Where the hell do you find doctors who prescribe medicine that would only kill the patient?

So with the third new doctor, he told us to stop the medicines until next week and my grandma would be tested first to determine which types of medicines she could handle. Meanwhile, I bought her Nutren Fibre and it's so expensive...but it's okay if it would help with her malnutrition. My grandma is getting stronger each day since the medicines were stopped.

Last time I think I wrote about my friend, Camille...though I didn't mention her name I think...hehe. I was concerned at her sudden interest with charities. Before, she hated charities. She said that you don't know where the money goes and that it's usually the corporation who takes the money...blah blah blah. I can't blame her. I do know that there are those who abuse charities. But since starting the Blogathon last year (which I participated in), I think I influenced her into giving. The problem is...she just jumped the wagon. I told her to research the charities that she wants to support first. It took me a while to convince her. But finally, she's doing what I suggested.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, Camille's one of the few donors who donated for my chosen charity WSPA during my Blogathon. To my new DA Friends, please support this year's Blogathon, I promise I'll send earlier notes than what I did before. (Sorry $Moonbeam13 for the late note last time.)
In preparation for this year's Blogathon, I removed some of my LJ entries from storage so that new DA friends would have an idea of what happened last year. Sorry if I have to hide most of my journals. I don't want to but I guess telling everything on the net only causes me to be more misunderstood plus I'm not only endangering my dogs, I'm also endangering myself. But it's so hard to make these entries about the dogs not too personal because it's too entwined to my real life. *sigh*

I will be posting next time the charities that I personally would want to support. Especially this one program which my friend Joiz already supports. I've always wanted to support that one too but I couldn't since I don't have enough money.

Sorry if I couldn't really take care of this account and if I couldn't go to your pages. I guess, I really have to make sure that my grandparents are stable first. I realized that it's no use having a lot of online friends if you neglect your family...much more when it's their lives that are at stake.

It's hard for me since people say I shouldn't be burdened with these things at my age. Other people the same age as me don't even experience these things (but I beg to differ, I know there are a lot of young people who have more responsibilities and hardships than I'll even experience in my lifetime).
But I'm okay. I'm okay now than the past years...because now, I can do something about it. Even though I'm deep in debt with the bank (I can pay in minimum amounts though so I'm ok), the point is, there's no use trying to be thrifty...especially when it's a life that's on the line. I don't care how much debt I will incur, I know and I'm confident I can pay them anyway in the future once I get a stable job. What matters most is saving lives. Money won't matter when you die anyway.

On a happier note, I have three new puppies. They are so cute! I'll try to post pictures of them though it's not as good as the others since I only borrow my brother's phone camera. My camera got stolen last year. It's just so sad that I couldn't record and share their growth to you guys. It also saddens me that I don't have records/pictures of my grandparents while they are recovering.

*sigh*

But I'll buy a camera...even if it's second hand. I just need to figure out where to have it delivered. I found a reputable seller on ebay.

Thank you for taking your time to read this. I wish I could go on more details but I realized I'm burdening people with my long posts. Lol.

Take care everyone...I really really want to get this account up and going soon *crosses-fingers* and I really really want to interact with all your art soon. Arghh...time...

Their site's down for quite sometime, but please don't forget to spread the petitions that were collected since last year.

Take care everyone! *hugs*

Thank you too for taking interest in these things. We don't really need to be zealous animal activists, just doing our part and trying to spread the word will somehow influence some people and if they do the same thing too it would scatter. Besides, people are more aware of our planet than before.

So thank you for doing your part and helping out in your own way. Good luck to us! ^_^

    Hi.

I signed the human society petition, thanks for hosting that. I've been trying to circulate the petition to stop the hunting just started on wolves in the Yellowstone Park area. Information on that can be found in my journal and the journals of my two clubs

    Hehe...I'm not an animal activist...YET. ^_^ But I think I'm going there.

I'm just trying to do things one step at a time.

You can get the links here [link] though please check if the petitions are still ongoing. I haven't been online much so I've sort of neglected it.

You can make your own stuff do whatever you want with it. It's also okay even if you don't tell people that you got it from here. The point is that SPREAD Awareness. ^_^

Thank you for showing your support and for helping in your own way.

Can I also ask that spread this [link] It's the main reason for this account. Take care and I look forward to our online interactions.
